BEFORE VOLUNTEERING TO WORK WITH YOUTH AND MCCALL PARKS AND RECREATION TWO FORMS WILL NEED TO BE COMPLETED. 

AN AGREEMENT FORM FOR INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTARY SERVICES WITH THE CITY OF MCCALL AND VOLUNTEER BACKGROUND CHECK FORM AUTHORIZING RELEASE OF INFORMATION. BOTH FORMS CAN BE FOUND ON OUR FORMS PAGE HERE. 


FAQs

I would like to coach a program or sport who should I contact?

Coaching opportunities are available for all youth team programs and sports upon completion of a background check. Contact the Recreation Department 208-634-8968

What is required of a coach?

A basic level of knowledge for the sport you are coaching, but not required. A cleared background check. Attendance of all practices and games, and attending the coaches meeting if applicable.

What forms do I need to be a coach?

Coaching volunteers will need to complete a background check request form and a City of McCall volunteer agreement.

Do coaches receive registration discounts?

Coaches will receive a youth registration discount. Baseball and Softball programs will receive a 50% discount, all other programs will receive 1 free youth registration for the coached sport.

What if I can’t make it to practice or a game? 

Coaches are responsible for finding parent substitutes and notifying the Recreation Supervisor.

What if a parent is dissatisfied? 

Please contact the Recreation Supervisor with all questions and concerns.
